Highlights of the 2019 Acura NSX
Design
The 2019 NSX is a supercar crafted with the body of a racing car, but comfort is prioritized with Acura’s human support cockpit, allowing you to control your drive with ease.
Acura emphasizes elegant design, but every piece of elegance also has a function. For example, the beautifully detailed lines and edges that are embellished on the body of the NSX also help with total airflow management. As the design allows air to flow in and out of the vehicle, the engine and transmission are cooled. In the same way, the previously mentioned human support cockpit’s seat materials are composed of leather, with an Alcantara® microfiber center. The cockpit has designated padded areas for knees and elbows to rest, all to create a luxurious ride.
Performance
The supercar, which is equipped with Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™, has an electric Twin Motor Unit (TMU) that distributes power effectively to each wheel as needed with torque vectoring. Even at high speeds, the car has control due to the traction every tire possesses.
With 573 horsepower, the NSX can accelerate to 60 mph within 2.7 seconds, and it can reach a top speed of 191 mph. Acura’s direct drive motor enables this impressive acceleration, situated between the V6 engine and a 9-speed dual-clutch transmission for smooth acceleration. Every piece of the NSX works together to bring a controlled, but fast, ride to luxury.
In the same way that the 2019 NSX excels in acceleration abilities, it possesses equally advanced stopping power. Super sports brakes, Brembo® hydraulic brakes, and hybrid regenerative braking all work to bring your NSX to a smooth stop the moment you decide to press your brake.
Technology
Acura’s integrated dynamics system has four modes: Quiet, Sport, Sport+, and Track modes. Quiet mode tames noise from the exhaust by forcing it to pass through the silencers, but once you switch your NSX to Sport+ or Track mode, silencers are bypassed and the world can hear your car’s power.
With custom made ELS Studio® Premium Audio tuned by Grammy® award winner Elliot Scheiner and 9 speakers that surround the car’s interior, every ride in your NSX can bring a dynamic music experience.
